Update documentation about not possible to change Encryption password

#1

it is nowhere written in documentation that once created password for Encryption is not changeable - it would be nice to mention it there - I only found it later on the Forum

I just ran into this. Really annoying, what happens if I type encryption password in wrong on other client? I have to reinstall odrive?!

Hi @carlco,
If there is already data in the Encryptor folder then odrive will notify you that the password is incorrect, so you shouldn’t get into a situation where you have an incorrect password. You will see a message like this:
wrong_passphrase

If you somehow do end up in a situation where you need to clear the stored passphrase, you can clear these entries on the local system:

Windows registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\odrive-encryption-[unique uuid] where [unique-uuid] is a different ID for each encryptor folder that has been setup.

Mac keychain:
Under odrive-encryption-[unique uuid]
