Will Infinite File Size segments automatically reassemble on download?
Can the reassembly be done via unix tools like split and cat, or is the odrive sync client the only way to retrieve a functional file?

The odrive client will take care of assembly automatically when you sync. If you want to do it outside of odrive, take a look at this blog post:

It goes through the specifics of IFS and has some scripts that can be used to assemble the files in the DIY section at the bottom.
