I have many google drive folders syncing to my PC. I would like to unsync a file but not have it disappear - I may not want everything syncing but I still want to know that it is in the cloud. I may need a file i created a year ago but only want to start syncing it again today. I have to go back to get a file or sync all files again in the shared drive. Am I missing something?
It would be great if it performed like onedrive.

It sounds like you are looking for our unsync feature. This Premium feature will allow you to turn your locally synced files back into placeholder files that represent the remote content. You can access this feature by right-clicking on a file and selecting “unsync”.
