Syncing all files when I don't want it to

Did you check the right-click->sync options that are set. Take a look at this post, which may apply to your case:

I think you are saying that you have applied “sync rules” (“Save and apply to new files and folders”) to lots of individual folder, scattered throughout your odrive structure and you want to remove them all. Is that right? In your case, step #1 would be right-clicking on your Dropbox folder instead of the odrive folder.
