Hi there, I’m a paid user of odrive and on my new machine I can’t get “sync to odrive” to work. I set up a folder and set it to sync in the web client, can see a .odrive file in the folder and it shows in the menu but it doesn’t sync my files, even after a reboot. Please help! (Windows 10)
This definitely sounds strange.
When you setup “sync to odrive” it expects the folder names on the local and remote side to be the same. If they are not, it will create a new remote folder with the same name as the local folder. Can you double-check this and make sure that the remote folder isn’t a new empty folder, due to this behavior?
If that is not the case, can you add a local file and see if it uploads to the remote?
If the behavior is still off after trying these two things, can you send a diagnostic from the odrive menu so I can take a closer look?
Aha, it was making a new folder! I didn’t know it needed to have the same name. Now I named a new folder with the same name as the remote and it worked. thanks.
