Hi there, how can I use odrive to store my Slack files locally? I need to free up some space on our Slack workspace. If I log into my Slack archive and delete a file, will it also be deleted in my odrive folder?
It seems to be possible to copy images out of my odrive folder and save it locally, but only after opening each file individually.
Any help please?
Hi,
Since odrive is a bi-directional sync engine, it will try to reflect any changes made on the remote or local side. This means odrive will remove local files that correspond to remote file deletes.
You can perform a recursive sync of the folder you want to store locally using these instructions: https://docs.odrive.com/docs/sync-your-odrive#section--sync-all-files-and-subfolders-
Once downloaded, you can copy those files to another location, that is outside of odrives view, and then delete them from Slack.
