Security Cam Video direct to Cloud?

Is there anyway possible to have a security camera upload directly to cloud storage without using a local computer?

Some cameras have FTP support. So for example if oDrive provided FTP access to say, Amazon Cloud Drive, that might be a solution.

Known caveats:

  • One brand of camera supposedly has built in DropBox support, but reviews say the cam is very unreliable overall.

  • You could save to NAS or PC then sync but this has disadvantages. Extra point of failure, requires having the hardware, etc.

odrive doesn’t offer something like an FTP gateway to other storage and requires a client, in some capacity, to perform the syncing. I can’t see a way to use odrive without some intermediate system that would perform the syncing or putting the odrive agent directly on the camera (probably not possible).
