Can I effectively replace my Google Drive Backup & Sync with odrive? It seems like overkill to have both installed if odrive can fill the gap.
The one missing feature I can think of is that Google Drive Backup & Sync will crawl my entire local drive to find photos/videos to upload to Google Drive.
You can use odrive to sync your data to Google Drive. odrive1 is exclusively a full, bi-directional sync engine and can sync between your local and cloud storages, including Google Drive. It doesn’t function like traditional backup, so you would need to factor that in with regards to your own use cases. (More discussion on that here: Backup (one-way sync))
