I need to prevent odrive from running at login on my Macbook running OSX/MacOS 10.12 (Sierra). I have disabled the startup from the User preferences (SystemPreferences>Users&Groups>LoginItems) but it still starts and runs at every new login after reboot.
What else is needed to stop this? I’ve seen similar reports in this forum regarding methods for preventing autostart in Windows but nothing for OSX/MacOS.

This is definitely strange. So you don’t have odrive listed at all in “Login Items” anymore? That is the only thing we set for opening odrive automatically.
The only other thing I can think of is that a placeholder file (.cloud or .cloudf) is being opened, which will start odrive so that the file/folder can be synced.
