I have installed the latest release in my macOs Mojave 10.14.6. I have Amazon Photos and Dropbox mapped.
It keep unload randomly when it’s not syncing. At some point I can’t find odrive in my finder bar and the only way to reload it is restarting. A logout can’t help.
Hi @tuxberg77,
Thanks for reaching out. Can you check if there are any crash reports that have been created? If there are, you can find them in the “User Diagnostic Reports” section of the Console (type console into Spotlight search to access the Mac Console).
If there are any listed, can you attach here so that I can take a look?
Also, can you perform the following steps, please?
Open a terminal session (type “terminal” in Spotlight search):
Run the following command in the terminal session (copy & paste + Enter):
This will run the odrive app from the terminal and it may print something out to the terminal that can give us a clue as to what may be happening when it disappears, or when it is failing to start again after disappearing.
Can you please copy and paste anything that is printed out there?
The unique carsh report under “User Diagnostic Reports” is a series of KeySyncTopic. Nothing about odrive.
At this time odrive is up and running… The first time it disappear from the finder I surely do the step indicated (I have restarted my machine because I need to sync a huge quantity of photos on Amazon).
Thanks a lot will let you know if it unload again.
Rereading this, I wanted to clarify the behavior a bit:
There are a couple of places where you can see the odrive icon. One is in the menu bar (at the very top of the screen). This is the odrive tray menu. The other is in the Finder at the top. This provides access to the odrive menu options, like sync, unsync, etc.
Are these both disappearing?
If it is just the one in the Finder, can you open the System Preferences -> Extensions and see if “odriveapp” is listed and checked? If it is listed but not checked, try checking it to see if the odrive icon reappears.
