I can’t install the desktop sync because Kaspersky Anti Virus identifies a malware in the installer file.

This is a false positive. We just recently applied to Kaspersky’s whitelist program and have uploaded our latest version to them for whitelisting. I expect it should go through in the next day or so.
VirusTotal shows the file as clean, but Kaspersky seems to change their mind randomly…

For now you can try whitelisting/excluding the exe to allow it to install.
