How does the autoupdater work?

Hi guys,

Thanks for all of the updates made almost, if not every week.

How do I know if my client is updated or is running the latest version of odrive? I almost never see anything about it. Is it similar to how Chrome updates, with two copies of itself?

Hi @slowdriver,
We generally push out silent updates, which you won’t notice. If the install is what we call “major” it will require a full install. You will be prompted for this, since it requires the user to step through the installer.

You can see what version you are running at the bottom of the odrive tray menu (prod xxxx).
