How does one force the files to stay on the local drive?

Hi there

I want to force all my files to be on my local drive and odrive to merely maintain the backup/ copy in the cloud. I dont want it to create stubs of the files in my directory. Is there a way to do a global change to ensure ALL my data continues to be available on local disk?

If you are looking for strictly backup, where you only need local files backed-up to the cloud, you could take a look at our new backup feature: https://www.odrive.com/features/backup

If you want to maintain full bi-directional sync, but always have all of the remote data local then you will want to apply “folder sync rules”: https://docs.odrive.com/docs/sync-source-changes#folder-sync-rules
In this case you would right-click on the folder you want to sync, slide the slider all the way to the right, check both checkboxes, and then click the big sync button.
