How do I sync my files that are on an secondary drive/external drive/network drive?
There are a few of ways to do this:
The easiest is to use our premium “sync to odrive” feature. This allows you to sync any locally accessible folder with any linked odrive location. You can learn more about that here:
Alternatively, you can copy files into your odrive folder. If the space available on your primary drive - which is where the odrive folder is located, by default - is not large enough to hold all of the data, you can copy it over in sections and then unsync after upload completes. You would then copy in the next batch, and so on. This could be further eased by using the odrive CLI to automate the process, if you are up for a little scripting.
Finally, you can move the odrive folder to a new location and then drag the files over. Please keep in mind that we do not recommend or officially support moving the odrive folder to external drives, especially network volumes.
