I find out sometimes downloads are slow but at other times they are quick. Why? Are there any regularities?

In general odrive will download files in the same way, so there should not be much variability on odrive’s side. Download speed can depend on lots of different factors, though, like internet performance, network stability/saturation, the state of the storage service, size of the file, other load on the system, etc…
What types of performance variances are you seeing?

It could be due to a few factors:
- Network Congestion: Sometimes, the speed fluctuation may be related to your local network or the bandwidth being shared with other devices. If too many devices are using the same connection, it could slow things down.
- Cloud Provider Throttling: Odrive may be experiencing rate-limiting or throttling from your cloud provider, especially during peak times or with large files.
- File Size and Type: Larger files or files being downloaded from multiple locations at once could lead to slower speeds, while smaller or more localized files can download faster.
If you’re using Odrive during certain times of the day, the server load from the cloud service could vary, leading to slower speeds.
