Hi,
I’m fortunate enough to have a symmetrical Gigabit-Connection and just purchased the Amazon Unlimited Drive. I’ve added a folder with 4 large files of 200GB+ sizes (backup-containers) in a short time (since speed isn’t an issue), but odrive puts them into ‘Waiting’ and the get stuck there. I’ve suspended any other activity to the ACD.
Hi @Robpollard,
If the files are larger than 50GB then they will never make it up as a single file, since Amazon has a 50GB/file limit. You will want to enable odrive’s IFS feature (Infinite File Size) to split the files up into smaller segments.
Ah, I see. Thanks for the info! I’d like to be able to do this then with files only over 45/50 GB. Is that possible? Or setting IFS just for a single folder? My fibre connection easily handles large files, so I’d like to refrain from uploading everything in chunks
Currently the threshold is the same as the segment size, and the max is 2GB. You can enable splitting, then drop the very large files in, and then disable splitting once they have uploaded.
