Amazon Photos sync regularly deletes all local files only to download them once again.
This certainly sounds strange.
Can you send over some logs and diagnostics so that I can take a closer look at what is happening?
The “sync activity log” is located here:
Once open (as main.log), please save it to your Desktop and then send it to me directly by clicking on my name and selecting “Message”.

Sorry for the delay. It took a while for it to reoccur after I wrote the last message, but today it seems that about 2,000 local files were once again deleted. I’ll see if I can get the logs for you now.
