I added an account in the website, but it had not populated on my desktop. Do I need to actively do something to add a gmail drive account? Thanks.

It could take some time to reflect the new link locally, but only a few minutes at the most. You can tell odrive to refresh immediately by performing a right-click-> odrive refresh on the odrive folder.
