Why do files sit in "Waiting"?

I am having trouble syncing with an encrypted folder to/from OneDrive for Business. Files seem to sit in “Waiting” and I can’t figure out how to force them to upload to sync. This is from MacOS, despite it saying “Ready to sync new changes”.

Files aren’t strange in any way - they are small and the path isn’t too long…

Any ideas?

Can you send a diagnostic from the odrive menu and let me know what the path is to the folder?
