Sync from internal to external hard drive

I’m trying to figure out if ODrive premium can sync from an internal drive to an external hard drive without the cloud – that is, can one or more external USB hard drive be a sync destination – kind of a private cloud? I see tantalizing references to this in other forum questions but can’t figure out what kind of “storage” I should be using. There’s no “local storage” agent. Am I nuts for expecting this to be an ODrive feature?

What I was hoping to accomplish: I use USB drives as backups, and normally keep them disconnected. What I’d really like is for ODrive to sync a local folder to a remove folder when I turn on the drive and it auto-mounts in Windows. But I’m willing to start the sync process manually

Also, I have a QNAP NAS – what’s the best way to sync files to that? I believe it does have a WebDAV client but sending files locally over HTTP seems a bit silly.

Thanks in advance…

Hi @uwe.baemayr,
This is similar to this question here, if you would like to take a look:

For the NAS as a link, the best bet is WebDAV, FTP, or SFTP.
