Order list files

Hi!

I’ve just installed your client on W10 to test with my several Cloud Storage Services.

I see that the files are ordered in MAC-Style instead WIN-Style.
In WIN-Style, when select NAME ORDER (or any other way to order), folders and files are keeping separated.
In MAC-Style, instead, in all way of ordering, file and folder are mixed and looks not possible to keep separated. Is there any option to set this or not?

Hi @akatato,
The reason you see this is due to the “placeholder” model of odrive. odrive creates placeholder files for both files and folders, so normal sorting will sort the cloud folders as files.

There is an advanced tweak you can try:

Sorting (Folders First)

So, this is not a perfect solution, but you can try it out if you like. This will facilitate sorting by “Type” in Windows Explorer, which will get closer to the behavior you want. If you change the registry value of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Odrive.CloudFolder\Default to something like 0drive Folder (that is a zero as the O), it will allow you to sort by “Type” in Explorer and show placeholder folders right below “real” folders. It doesn’t allow them to be sorted by name together, but …
