I just came to the awful realization, that there is no duplicate filename detection between for example: a recently (locally) added .jpg file, and a .cloud jpg (that already exists in the cloud) of the same name. The .cloud file gets overwritten, inadvertently deleting a file. This desperately needs to be addressed somehow.
My cloud (Dropbox) has version history, but changes have to be done individually. The Dropbox ‘Event’ log does not track overwrites, just says: “You added the file 04B.jpg”.
