Is it possible to sync the home folder on a mac?

I’m running OS 10.11.6 and would love to sync my home folder ( excluding the odrive & dropbox folder) so all my mail and other important system files get archived even after I delete them from my local disk . I think this could be done by creating a homefolder in the cloud on amazon drive and then select sync to drive feature and then select after uploading all content start sync on my local hard drive. Best would be of course if the TimeMachine Mac backup software could backup to amazon drive via odrive -thanks you for your help

Hi @franzton,
It is possible, although I would highly recommend against syncing the entire home folder. Instead I would “sync to odrive” specific folders you are interested in, like your Documents, Desktop, Pictures, Downloads, Music, Movies, etc. You would not want to sync the application data folders (begin with a . ), Applications, Trash, Library, etc.
