Facebooks' 'Photos of you' shows all uploaded photos instead of photos that the user is tagged in and as displayed on Facebook.com's 'Photos of you' section - is this a known bug?

Hello you lovely people!

Been pulling my hair out over this for many many hours so deeply appreciated if anyone can spare a few seconds to shed any light on this whatsoever!

As per the title: Facebooks’ ‘Photos of you’ shows all uploaded photos instead of photos that the user is tagged in and as displayed on Facebook.com’s ‘Photos of you’ section - is this a known bug?

Many thanks in advance and warmest regards,

Binvius

Hi @binvius,
Apologies for the trouble and confusion.

Often the “Photos of You” and “Your Photos” can contain mostly the same, or entirely the same photos. This is due to Facebook security changes over the years. Basically Facebook has made it increasingly difficult/impossible for us to pull down photos that you are tagged in, but do not own.

From an integration perspective, we are requesting from Facebook all photos you are tagged in for “Photos of You” and all photos you have uploaded for “Your Photos”
