Desktop client doesn't start automatically in my Windows10

It must be a silly problem, but I don’t find anywhere else where to look for. I tried to look for in the Windows Event Log, in registry, in AV logs (Kaspersky in my case), but I can see anything is stopping the automatic execution of odrive.

After windows stars (withount odrive) I can execute odrive from star menu without any problem.

I’m in the last version (5914). Does anyone have any idea?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @edgar.munoz77,
Is odrive set to run on starup/login? Do you see it listed in the Task Manager under the Startup tab?
If so, can you right-click on it and verify the location is correct?

odrive is not running as you can see in TaskManager (, neither in StartUp tab (

I’ve realised that there is no shortcut in Startup folder (shell:startup). Is here where I have to create a shortcut? If I do this the problem is solved, but I don’t know if it’s the right procedure.

Best Regards,

There should be an odrive shortcut to C:\Program Files\odrive\odrive.exe in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\

If its not there you can create one and that should solve the problem.

OK. The shortcut wasn’t there. I’ve created a new one. I tell you something in the next reboot.

OK. It works fine!!

PD: I can’t imagine how the original shortcut was deleted…

Best Regards,

Glad you are all set! Thanks for the update.
