My guess would be that I don’t have view access to the initial bucket just the subfolder.

I have full access to mptv but no access to pbs-ingest.
Works fine on my mac with Transmit and Cyberduck.

Our current implementation expects the user to be able to list items from the root of the bucket, so I believe you are correct in saying the issue is you have no access the parent paths above mptv. We would probably need to account for this by adding a default path option to the S3 linking parameters, so you would start off in that folder as the root of your link. I will talk to the product team about this.
